Welcome to Salisbury Middle School

Salisbury Middle School is a great place to learn and grow!  We value creativity and are in the job of not only creating problem solvers, but problem finders/seekers!  Not only do we embed these skills within our learning experiences, but we provide numerous opportunities for various clubs / events as well.    We do this to promote student ingenuity, creativity and development, which is greatly valued within our school / district.  

At SMS you’ll notice a wide variety of approaches to learning.  You’ll see students creating via online tools (IMovie, Google Apps, Garageband, etc.) as well as creating through more traditional means (performance, construction, etc.).  We pride ourselves in being knowledgeable of our content, but more or equally knowledgeable of our students.  We are a small school that consists of four grade levels (5-8) of approximately 100-120 students per grade.  

Our students participate in many school activities and we strive to give them voice! We understand the need for students to build leadership qualities through the creation and development of student ideas.  In order to provide students the ability to decompress and socialize, our Student Council created the Student Lounge, where students can go to relax and have fun.   You’ll see our students pioneering various events within our building (social events, fundraising events, school-wide events, clubs, etc.).  These events / activities exist due to the advocacy and leadership skills we foster in our learners.
