Overview of Professional Development
Salisbury Township School District values professional development. Engaging in high-quality learning experiences helps maintain our knowledge and skills, has the power to re-energize us, and increases retention.
In addition, district professional development days, professional staff also differentiate their professional development through choice hours, workshops, conferences, and pursuing advanced certifications and degrees.
Instructional assistants throughout the district complete twenty hours of professional development each year in order to maintain Highly Qualified status. Opportunities for workshops and training are provided throughout the school year and summer for instructional assistants to engage in professional learning that aligns with the roles and responsibilities of the position.
