Protect yourself in 5 ways
Slip on sun protective clothing
Slop on SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply every 2 hours
Slap on a broad brimmed hat
Seek shade
Slide on wrap around sunglasses
See your doctor or dermatologist if you notice changes in a mole or a new mole or skin lesion.
Look for one of these warning signs of skin cancer:
Asymmetry-one half looks different than the other half
Border-irregular edges
Color-varied shades of tan, brown or black
Diameter- typically larger than the size of a pencil eraser
Evolving - a mole or lesion that looks different than the rest or is changing in size, shape, or color
