A little Q&A with Salisbury Senior Michael Tiao What is your full name? Michael Lung Tiao What are your hobbies? I enjoy listening to music, writing stories, playing piano, and playing video games. I also love riding my bike whenever the weather is nice. Do you have any pets? I have no pets, but I would love to have a dog! How would your friends describe you? Funny, caring, chill, strange (but in an endearing way). Honestly, I’m not great at coming up with adjectives. What is your favorite subject? I love math as a whole, but physics is also up there in terms of enjoyment when it comes to learning the subject. Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Ms. Reinecke. She’s a large reason why I’ve taken at least one music class every year of high school, and her sarcastic humour never gets old. At the same time, she’s very caring for her students and in my eyes, a very good music teacher. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? I have a terrible memory, but honestly my favorite Salisbury memory was auditioning for the musical my sophomore year. I was scared out of my mind, but going out of my comfort zone to try something new that I would eventually come to love is something that I’ll never forget. What is your favorite movie? Shrek 2. Don’t question it. Who is your role model and why? My role model is my mother. She’s very patient and levelheaded, never jumping to conclusions or getting heated easily. She’s also extremely smart and very talented in many things, such as singing and drawing. What’s next after graduation? Nothing is certain yet, but I will definitely be attending either Penn State University or Lehigh University. #yoursalisbury

Betty: a Saint Bernard How would your friends describe you? Kade Simo says I am glamorous. What is your favorite subject? History Who is your favorite teacher and why? Mr. Barna. His history classes have always kept me interested, and his electives are very fun to take. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? Beating Notre Dame What is your favorite movie? This Is the End Are you involved in any community service projects? I was involved in Camp Smile at Cedar Crest College with football, and I volunteered to work the snack stand at the SYA game with teammates. Who is your role model and why? Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson because he is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. What’s next after graduation? Still working on that, but I am continuing my education at Penn State University or West Chester University. #yoursalisbury

I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, listening to music, and working out. Do you have any pets? I have a cat named Luna, and two dogs named Maggie and Saddie. How would your friends describe you? My friends would describe me as kind, funny, and hard working. What is your favorite subject? Anatomy Who is your favorite teacher and why? My favorite teacher is Miss DosSantos, she has been there for me over the past four years and watched/helped me grow into the person I am today. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? My favorite Salisbury memory was cheering at the Jim Thorpe football game. It was freezing outside but I loved cheering next to my best friends one last time. What is your favorite movie? Coco Who is your role model and why? My role model is my mom because she is extremely kind and hard working. She motivates me everyday to be my best self. What’s next after graduation? I plan on attending a college that will allow me to further my education and later become a physician assistant. #yoursalisbury

Basketball, listening to music and spending time with the family How would your friends describe you? My friends would describe me as funny, athletic and fun to be around. My favorite teacher is Mr. Laub because he always knows how to make his classes fun and we always talked about basketball. What is your favorite Salisbury memory? My favorite Salisbury memory has to be all the fun times at lunch with my friends. We were always laughing and having a good time. What is your favorite movie? Step Brothers Who is your role model and why? My parents are my role models because they are always working hard and have spoiled my sisters and I our whole lives. What’s next after graduation? Yes, every month the football team tries to get involved in at least one community service project. Who is your role model and why? My mom never quits and I mean she never quits; she is the most competitive person I know. What’s next after graduation? WSE students Payton, Logan and Makenna are making the best out of their time at home. Payton made breakfast for mom and dad, Logan got to enjoy the outdoors and then there is Makenna rolling out dough for egg decorations. Plus there is the skittles experiment!
